Are you an entrepreneur? Creative? Blogger? Me too! I believe that when you do what you love for a living you flourish, personally and financially. You just need the proper tools.

Branding is something everyone knows they should do, but most people don't know where to begin. I'm going to break it down for you.  Let's start with the branding elements >>>

Want free kick-ass branding tips delivered to your inbox?

Elements of a Brand
Brand Values

Brand values are the core of your brand. It’s your belief system. People don't buy into what you do, they buy into why you do it.

These values are non-verbal promises that you make to your readers or customers. This unique perspective is why they want to kick it with you vs the other guy.

Elements of a Brand
Brand Personality

Most major brands have distinct brand personalities. They have human personality traits that set them apart from competitors, and call in a specific kind of consumer or reader.

Personality is what makes a brand memorable. This is your special sauce.

Elements of a Brand
Tone of Voice

It isn’t just what you say, but how you say it. It's:
    • The language you use;
    • The way you construct sentences
    • Your personality communicated in words.

It's all about the attitude. You should be authentic, memorable and appropriate for your target audience.

Elements of a Brand
The Visuals

People tend to skim, so you gotta give'em some eye candy. A well-designed logo, big images, typography and other stylized elements get people focused and excited about your message.

This is your hook, if you don't get them here, they won't go any further.

Elements of a Brand

People trust what they recognize. They like when you meet their expectations. So, keep your promises; pick your colors and fonts and stick to them; always use the same tone of voice.

Curve balls are great in baseball, not so great in branding. Consistency is king.

About Me

Trinidad Pena

My passions are design and marketing, which is why I started Trinidad Pena - Branding + Design. I've worked for lots of large clients with giant budgets as well as micro & small business owners, and realized that my true story involves the small business owners who feel as passionately about what they do as I do.

Design is my sweet spot, the unconditional love in my life. Form and color have strong messages. When I started sharing my passion with others and helping them enhance their careers, life took off. This is my calling, and I'm thrilled to be here.

I am a graphic/web designer and blogger, so I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. When I’m off-line, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and convincing people that wine belongs in the fruit food group because it’s made from grapes. Drop me a line or hit me up on social media. I’d love to hear from you.
